It is all good news - I still enjoy loading up my own website and think, "nice". The software is really user friendly and after only 3 weeks we are on the first pages of some of our key word related categories which is excellent.

CD and DVD Duplication Services

CD & DVD Duplication and Printing

A Prompt Ltd have full in house capabilities to duplicate, reproduce or copy your CD-ROM or DVD. As well duplication we can also print your chosen design directly onto the face of the CD or DVD.

We can duplicate or reproduce as many CD's and DVD's as you like, although our minimum order is for 1000 disks.

The disks are reproduced by pressing from a Glass Master and the printing is done by silk screen or litho printers. This is same process that creates high street CD's and DVD's.

As well as duplicating and printing your CDROM or DVD, we can provide CD Cases – whether clear shell cases or standard CD cases for safe distribution.

Disk Formats

CD's can come in a number of diiferent formats depending on what media you intend to put on the disk.

Data (Computer Generated Files)
The most common form of CD-ROM is a data disk. CD's can hold upto 700MB of data. Data CD's can be used by anyone with the same computer format (i.e. a PC disk can be used by anyone with a PC and a MAC disk can be used by anyone with an Apple Mac). With the right software it is possible to make a "cross platform" disk that can be read by either computer format. Check out "CD Everywhere" which is free software that allows you to create cross platform disks.

Whilst data disks can be used by users of the same computer format they will need the same software as you to be able to read the files - i.e. if you place Microsoft Word documents on the CD, the user of the disk will need Word on their computer to be able to open the file.

Music
Music CD's can be played in either PC or MAC computers or on normal HiFi equipment able to play CD's (please note some HiFi equipment cannot play CD-R (burnt CD's)). CD's can hold upto 80 minutes of music. It is also possible to combine some data content with a music CD allowing users with a computer access to additional content that HiFi users could not access.

Video
It is possible to store video files on CD-ROM. The usual method for putting video onto CD-ROM is to create a Video CD or VCD. Video CD use MPEG-1 compression with stores the data at 320 pixels resolution and is comparable to VHS Video in terms of quality. It should be possible to play a Video CD's (VCD's) in computers equipped with a CD-ROM or in standalone DVD Players connected to a TV (providing the DVD player is VCD compatible).

CD WalletsCD Packaging & Inserts

There are many different styles and types of packaging for your CD ROM.

CD Wallets
The simplest form of packaging is a paper wallet. These can come with or without a plastic viewing window at the front of the wallet. The PVC wallet is completely clear and slightly more robust than the paper version. Paper and PVC wallets are ideal for disks that are packaged in some other protective environment such as computer software boxes as the wallet does not afford the disk much protection.

CD Jewel CasesJewel Cases
Jewel cases are the standard packaging for CD-ROM's, they come in both "slim line" and "standard" versions and can be clear throughout or have a black back plate. Jewel cases are ideal for sending disks in the post where the package may be knocked. Jewel cases are ideal for CD's that require accompanying paper inserts or booklets,

DVD Cases
DVD Cases are "book style" cases that offer complete protecton for the disk. As well complete protection the DVD case also has sufficient internal space for a booklet or insert. Available in black or clear.

DVD CasesCase Inserts
For Standard Jewel Cases you are able have a "single sided" printed back with folded tabs that fill the spine of the case.

At the front of the case you can a booklet printed either single or double sided from 1 single page to 16 pages.

DVD Cases can have a single sided cover design that slips into a clear plastic sleeve on the exterior of the case. This design can cover either only the front or the front, spine and back. Inside the DVD Case you can a booklet printed either single or double sided from 1 single page to 16 pages.

There are many different forms of printed inserts - please contact us for further details or to request a quote.
